How Danika Brysha Became Who She Is

I am so thrilled to interview the women who brought SELF-CARE into my life. I know she has done the same for you!!

Eight years ago, Danika Brysha and I were introduced by our mutual friend Dustin. He noticed we were both working on our personal brands and that we’d get along and it was the start of a supportive relationship that I treasure so much.

I got to know Danika through the years before I was even married or became a mom—and we were neighbors in Santa Monica when I had my first born. I was knee deep in motherhood and felt so alone.

In 2013 the moment Max was born and his medical condition turned me upside down, I knew that I needed to find a way to transition out of corporate and grow my photography business.

Danika stepped up and let me photograph her as she was stepping into her modeling career. She was signed with an agency and she was off to being a model!

One of the first shots taken outside our condo in Santa Monica, literally outside the the community laundry room because this is the type of human she is, I was looking to build my portfolio. I had a 2 month old inside the condo a few steps away.

I got married and had 2 kids and watched this women take her journey and not just share it with others, but TEACH them how they can also, live a fulfilled life.

We’ve come a long way, here are some photos from her first magazine cover that I shot and again, when my business took a dive while I was being a mom and pregnant with another and figuring out how to give my business the attention it needed. She was there to help me and prepay me to be her content photographer, which helped me continue to grow. Another example of this amazing human.

I created a hastag to always remind myself where we were, and how far we’ve come . I am so inspired by her vulnerability.

Danika’s mission in life is to help others to live their fullest possible lives. She speaks openly about her recovery from food addiction and disordered eating, and teaches workshops centered around using self-care daily to create the life of your wildest dreams.
